HCI- Cote D'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) is the community development branch of Hope Commission International
Working in a collaborative partnership to share the good news and to:
Serving to bring hope to empower families and communities of Cote d'Ivoire by practically showing them the Love of the Lord with services including Discipleship, HIV/AIDS, Community development, Neglected tropical diseases, Water and sanitation, Mother and Child Health, Agriculture, Food security, Community education, Mobilization of churches in Cote D’Ivoire for service to those in need.
The country team in Ivory Coast has been in existence for 18 years and had previously operated under the umbrella of MAP International. In the year 2018, the country team has come under the leadership of Hope Commission International in agreement and support of MAP International.
During these years, the team has partnered with many international local NGOs such as : UNICEF American Leprosy Mission (ALM), AbbVie, Tear-Fund UK, ANESVAD, DOLF/ University of Washington, SCI/ LSTM VIBRANT VILLAGE FOUNDATION, Effect Hope Canada
2019 activity report
The 2019 fiscal year was for Hope Commission International a year of accomplishment in the following areas:
Fight against Buruli ulcer and leprosy;
Operational research on skin diseases with particular attention to BU, leprosy and yaws;
A team of Eight (8) people worked in these different fields to provide assistance and support to more than one hundred thousand (100,000) people in Côte d'Ivoire, including women and children, about one in eight Ivorians.
We plan to go further in 2020 by subscribing to the policy of the State of Côte d'Ivoire.
Our actions were possible thanks to the leadership of the government of Côte d'Ivoire through the Ministry of Health, as well as to the technical and financial support of seven (06) partners:
American Leprosy Mission (ALM),
The Leprosy Research Initiative (LRI),
The Japanese Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED).
